Dr. Nader Mohammad Al-Smadi is a Consultant Psychiatrist and Addiction Treatment Specialist, holding the Jordanian Board Certification in Psychiatry. He has extensive professional and academic experience in the fields of mental health and psychiatry, along with active participation in a number of national and international mental health programs and initiatives.
Dr. Nader Mohammad Al-Smadi previously served as Vice President of the Jordanian Psychiatric Association. He also previously headed the Forensic Psychiatry Department at the National Center for Mental Health, Ministry of Health – Jordan, and worked as a Clinical Instructor at the School of Medicine, The University of Jordan.
Dr. Al-Smadi has participated in several national mental health projects and specialized teams, most notably the National Team for the Mental Health Investment Case in Jordan and the National Team for Developing an Early Detection Protocol for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). He also previously served as the Dementia Focal Point for the Global Dementia Observatory in Geneva, World Health Organization (WHO).
In the field of professional training and development, Dr. Nader Al-Smadi is a World Health Organization (WHO)-accredited trainer for the Mental Health Gap Action Programme (mhGAP). He has also provided training in psychosocial support programs.
Dr. Al-Smadi is also a founding member of the Jordanian Alzheimer’s Care Association. His professional interests include psychiatry, addiction treatment, community mental health, dementia, and forensic mental health services.
Dr. Nader Mohammad Al-Smadi sees patients at his clinic in Amman, Jordan – Al-Madina Al-Munawwara Street, Taiba Al-Taiba Complex, First Floor, where he provides psychiatric consultation, assessment, and treatment services, including specialized care for mental health conditions and addiction.
