İlker Sarıkaya, born in Ankara in 1981, completed his education at Cağaloğlu Anatolian High School and completed his medical education at Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine in 2005. He is fluent in English and German. Sarıkaya, who received his specialty training in Orthopedics and Traumatology at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine with his thesis on "Mid-Term Results of Thoracolumbar Spine Burst Fractures Treated with Short Segment Posterior Instrumentation and Fusion", studied at Heidelberg University Mannheim Faculty of Medicine in 2009 and 2015. He received training in Arthroplasty and Gait Analysis at Heidelberg Medical School. Doctor İlker Sarıkaya also worked at the Autistic Association between 2009-2012. Sarıkaya, who worked as a team doctor for the Turkish U18 Basketball National Team in 2007 and later in the field of Orthopedics and Traumatology at Muş State Hospital between 2011 and 2012, has been working as a Pediatric Orthopedics Doctor at the Orthopediatrics Children's Orthopedics Academy since 2012. Associate Professor İlker Sarıkaya received the title of associate professor in 2019. Assoc. Dr. İlker Sarıkaya is married and has one child.
