Dr Salem has over 10 years of experience in the field of radiotherapy. He is among the first practising radiation oncologists in Jordan to hold full Western qualifications in this field (fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists in the UK, UK specialist registration and a PhD in radiobiology from the University of Manchester). He worked as a consultant radiation oncologist in a big cancer centre in the UK for 4 years (2018-2022). He has led teams that treated the UK’s first lung cancer patients using novel radiotherapy techniques as proton radiotherapy or the MR Linac.
He has published over 60papers in prestigious medical journals; some of his research work has been incorporated into North American and European clinical practise guidelines and now guide cancer practise worldwide.
