Professional Background

Dr.Mohammed Shoqeirat is a Clinical neuropsychologist/Clinical psychologist.. He start working as psychological counseler at the Ministry of Education for nearly 6 years, during which he received a higher diploma in guidance from the University of Jordan. In 1984 he received a scholarship from the University of Mu'tah and joined the Faculty of Science, University of Manchester in Britain where he received a Master of Science in clinical and experimental neuropsychology and then a PhD in Clinical and experimental neuropsychology from the same university . He has been teaching at the University of Mu'tah since 1989 and has taught at the University of Jordan a number of times. His research interests cover clinical neuropsychology with an emphasis on organic memory loss and other areas in neuropsychology and clinical psychology. His interests also cover the cognitive functions impairments and personality changes in the case of brain injury and other brain diseases and in psychiatric disorders. The range of interest include neuropsychological assessment, rehabilitation, psychotherapy Beyond that, his interest includes the influence of environmental factors on brain functions, mental illness, psychology in general and neuroscience specifically .
