After completing his surgical training in the United Kingdom; Dr Hamdan was awarded with a CCT in General Surgery with sub-specialty interest in Upper GI surgery. He subsequently underwent a post-CCT fellowship in Bariatric and Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery in the Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading between 2019 and 2021. During this period, he developed expertise in all forms of Bariatric surgery, minimally invasive gallbladder, hernia and anti-reflux surgery and upper GI endoscopy. After which he has been appointed as a substantive Consultant General and Bariatric Surgeon at the Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading and also worked privately in Circle Reading, Spire Dunedin and Berkshire Independant Hospitals. He has now moved to Amman, Jordan where he runs his private practice.
